Perfection in Waiting

No need to apologise

If I hadn’t have waited

I wouldn’t have felt

The warmth of the first sun on my face

Or seen the mist of rain

Lower down in front of me

Or the dew rising from the grass

And gently bowing right

Or the touch of the cool breeze

Meet the insides of my nostrils

No mistakes,

Simply perfection in waiting.
