A spiritual everyday type of life

I was told ten years ago, that one day I would need to make a conscious decision about living a spiritual life, all day each day.I wasn't sure what that meant as I couldn't see myself entering a monastery or a convent anytime soon. I was looking for love, to settle down and for the next step in my life. I wasn't considering seclusion or living in a cave, I was ready to reconnect with my roots, start to be more co-dependant, thus I was going to retire my "complete independence" lifestyle for a bit!    (left: Coffee in Byron Bay with hubby.)However as time passed, and the more I discovered about myself, through CARE: connection, awareness, reflection and expansion of my thoughts and being, I understood that my life already was far more enriched and fulfilling. The more I saw and felt this for myself, the more I wanted to share and help others also try to discover this for themselves.People always ask me "are you a teacher" I used to reply no, paying respect to the well educated school teachers that educate our precious young. But deep down I have to come realise I am also a teacher. I love to teach and share my teachings on yoga, meditation, breathing, relaxation and wholistic living. I now take pride in saying "yes",  to that question and grateful for the gift of other people's time to be with me.At first daunted by people's preconceived ideas about spirituality, I have been able to show that even a simple person like me, a commoner, could have a greater ability to live in each moment with a God perspective and share how it was possible to get there, or atleast on the journey! But wait ..... what is this God or Supreme perspective I'm talking about?? Well I think it's up to each individual, as to what it means to you. Your relationship with a higher energy - perhaps yourself, nature, or a God, but with the emphasis on having a positive and uplifting impact upon yourself and others. I'll talk more about this another day.But for now, take a few moments to connect with yourself and nature, take a few breathes with me at the beach at the top photo!
